Language Technology in Microsoft Word

GridLine is a large provider of language-related software, and the biggest provider for language technology specific to the Dutch language. This involves spelling checkers, search engines, style analysers or programs that rate the legibility of texts. These language-applications will be integrated in Microsoft Word, and also in OpenOffice. The language-application runs on a server and Word connects with it through a socket.

With the expert development team you will research what the best way will be to integrate this technology. You will improve existing methods and connect new language modules. You design the best interface for the end user.

Who are we looking for?

You are a good programmer. You like challenges and quickly learn new things. You are good at working independently and also enjoy working in a team.

You have knowledge of, and experience with one or more of the following techniques:

  • C# of Java
  • XML
  • .Net, SharePoint, Word 2007
  • Knowledge of document management or language technology is a plus
